Video instructions and help with filling out and completing free adobe writer
Hello my name is Aaron my blog at Aaron right writing calm is all about sharing writing tips for the real world today's tutorial explains how to find and replace text in Adobe Acrobat DC acrobats find and replace tool is similar to Microsoft words find and replace tool but offers fewer options for example word lust is find and simultaneously replace all occurrences of a word based on nine parameters whereas acrobats find and replace tool offers four parameters and only replaces one occurrence at a time despite these limitations acrobats find and replace tool is invaluable when editing PDFs particularly long PDFs if you just need to find text acrobats advanced search tool helps you find partial or whole words in one or multiple PDFs watch my other video titled how to search multiple PDFs with Adobe Acrobat advanced search linked below for a full tutorial for simplicity the steps were about to follow refer to finding and replacing an individual word however you can also use these steps to find and replace multiple consecutive words and number strings to begin select the Edit tab and then select find to open the find panel alternately PC users can type ctrl F instead of going to the edit tab now type the word that you want to find in the fine text box and select the down arrow to open the options menu here you can choose whole words only case-sensitive include bookmarks or include comments you can select multiple parameters by selecting the down arrow again then select replace with type the replacement word in the replace with text box and then select the next button to find the next occurrence of the word once the word is found select the replace button if you want to replace it with the word in the replace text box you can edit the word in the replace text box if necessary for example you may have to alter the capitalization to match sentence positioning continue to select next and replace until Acrobat tells you that it has finished searching the document after you replace the first occurrence of the word you can also choose to select the replace next button to automatically replace the next occurrence of the word without finding it first however beware of automatically inserting replacement words with incorrect capitalisation based on sentence positioning you can find this tutorial in written format on my blog at Aaron Wright writing comm which is linked below feel free to leave me a comment if you have a question about Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat that you'd like me to address in a future video and please subscribe and give this video a thumbs up if you found it helpful thank you so much for watching
