About the service

Write on PDF provides PDF viewing, editing, annotation, image conversion and export tools. Local editing does not require an account. Optional Google Drive actions use a Google account and create or restore a Write on PDF account through Firebase Authentication. Optional cloud text recognition processes a selected page only after confirmation.

Your documents and account

You retain your rights to your documents. Use the service only with documents you are entitled to access and modify. You are responsible for reviewing the exported result, keeping any backups you need and protecting access to your Google account. A drawn signature is an image placed on the PDF; the service does not provide identity verification or certificate-based digital signing.

Google Drive and other providers

Google Drive actions access files you select or create with the app. Save copy to Drive creates a separate PDF in My Drive; it does not replace the original or copy its sharing permissions. You can sign out locally or disconnect Drive and request revocation of its saved connection. Google, Firebase and our hosting providers operate under their applicable terms. Our privacy policy explains the data used for these features.

Availability and limits

The current editing tools are free of charge. Cloud recognition has a daily usage limit. Features and availability may change, and requests may be limited to protect the service. Review important outputs and retain an independent copy of your documents.

Service conditions

The service is provided as available, without a promise that every document or operation will be supported or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is made about fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
